Teschner wins the "Warnie"

Zak Dempster has won the worlds longest UCI sanctioned one day race, The Melbourne to Warrnambool. Dempster, a member of the SouthAustralia-AIS.com cycling team withstood attacks form David Pell and Cameron Jennings before out sprinting Hilton Clarke to the line on the classic finishing straight that leads the Warrnambool riders home. “I lined up last (in the sprint) and hit them with everything I had.” said Zak after the race.
At 299km(officially), The Melbourne to Warrnambool is the longest one day race in the world, and is the second oldest one day race in the world.
